Dr. Lina T. Arango received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami in 2008, majoring in Biology and Spanish Literature with a minor in Chemistry. She Joined the College of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in 2009 and obtained the degree of Doctor of Optometry in 2013 where she was awarded with the Chancellor’s Scholarship. Dr. Arango completed her Optometry externships at Shanghai Eye and ENT Hospital in China and at the WJB VA Medical Center in South Carolina. As a true believer in the power of giving back to the community, Dr. Arango joined the Lions Club Fort Lauderdale chapter and participated in three different medical mission trips to Peru, Jamaica, and Ecuador. Driven by a given heart, in 2017, she became the co-founder of Clear Eyes Clear mind, a non-profit that provides emotional wellbeing and visual health to those in need. Currently, she is working as an Independent Doctor with LTA Vision corp. at VICLE where Dr. Arango focuses in Sports Vision and General Optometry. She is also practicing at La Colonia Medical center, which specializes in geriatric community. Dr. Arango is part of a millennial group of professionals called Change Agents representing Transitions Company which continuously advocates for educating the community about eye health.
